Congratulations to Uthaipon (Tao) Tantipongpipat, the winner of the 2020 ACO Outstanding Student Prize! This prize recognizes: his overall research contributions, spanning all three components of ACO, including his work on algorithmic foundations of experimental design, fairness in machine learning algorithms, and differential privacy; his scientific leadership and collaborative attitude; and the quality and breadth of his research.
We'll have a (virtual) ceremony soon to present Tao with a diploma and a cash award. Tao has joined the ML group (META) at Twitter Cortex after graduation.
