Daniel Dadush wins the ACO Outstanding Student Prize

The committee consisting of Bill Cook, Prasad Tetali and Eric Vigoda selected Daniel Dadush as the recipient of the 2012 ACO Outstanding Student Prize. The prize consists of a citation and a cash award. It was established thanks to a generous donation from the late Professor Emeritus Richard Duke.

The citation reads: "ACO Outstanding Student Prize is presented to Daniel Dadush for having had a tremendous influence on the ACO community in terms of scholarship and student leadership; for using recent mathematical results in asymptotic convex geometry to make significant contributions to classical optimization problems; and for routinely displaying the type of intellectual curiosity that an academic program can only dream to inspire in its students and faculty."
