Dana Randall selected SODA11 Program Committee Chair

Our colleague Dana Randall was selected to chair the Program Committee (PC) of the 2011 ACM-SIAM Symposium on Discrete Algorithms (SODA) to be held January 23-25, 2011 in San Francisco.

SODA, sponsored jointly by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and the Association for Computing Machinery, is a premier international conference on Discrete Mathematics and Algorithms. Individuals interested in presenting submit their manuscripts about six months prior to the meeting, and the Program Committee selects those of the highest quality for presentation at the conference. Usually, only a small proportion of the submitted papers are accepted.

In her role as Chair of the PC Dana will direct the work of the 30-member committee and will be responsible for creating the conference program and selecting awardees for the best paper and best student paper awards. More on the meeting can be found on the SIAM website.
